Intentionally funny? Yeah, you’re probably right. Unintentionally funny? I know a few Georges who beat him.
I used to watch the George Carlin show with unmasked glee. (And I was way too young to really get it at the time but something just spoke to me.)
Too bad he had to die but at least he was old and has done more in one lifetime than most people could do in 10.
